Confirmation
Q:Can I receive a written confirmation?
A:Yes. To book online you must enter an email address and you will receive an immediate confirmation. Any changes will also automatically generate a new email confirmation. If you mail or fax your form, you will receive confirmation within 48 hours of your booking. If you do not provide us with an email address or fax number, confirmation will be mailed by regular mail, which should arrive within two weeks.

Deposits
Q:Will my credit card be charged?
A:CMR will not charge your credit card. However, your hotel may charge a deposit of one night's room and tax as early as three weeks prior to the convention. Deposit amounts may vary. Please refer to the deposit policy on your hotel confirmation.
Q:Can I submit a check deposit?
A:Yes. However, we require a credit card to guarantee all reservations online. If you do not wish to use a credit card, you may be able to submit a housing request by mail along with a check. Please be sure your housing request and check arrives before the cancellation deadline. All housing requests and checks should be mailed to:

Q:Who do I make my check payable to?
A:Check should be made payable to CMR (drawn on a US bank).

Hotel Information
Q:How can I find out more details about the hotels before I make my choice?
A:From the Welcome Page, click on Hotel List button located on the menu bar at the top. This list includes a picture of the property along with a brief description of the hotel. Click on the Hotel Amenities button to view all the hotels' services and amenities compared in a grid format.
Q:How close is my hotel to the Moscone Center?
A:Click here to view hotel distances from the Moscone Center.
Q:What does 100% Smoke-Free mean?
A:Some hotels are enforcing a smoke-free policy. Guests are only permitted to smoke in designated areas outside of the building. Please note, some hotels charge up to $250 to clean the room if a guest has smoked in the room.

Luggage Storage
Q:If my flight arrives before the hotel's check-in time, or departs after the hotel's check-out time, can I store my luggage at the hotel?
A:Typically, yes. Although we cannot guarantee what a hotel will allow, hotels traditionally understand this need and are happy to store your luggage until you are able to check-in to your room, or after check-out. We recommend you call your hotel directly on the day before your arrival to be certain your hotel will allow this.
Q:I plan to check-out on the last day of the convention and participate in the convention past my check-out time. Where can I keep my luggage?
A:There is usually a luggage storage space set up at the Moscone Center. The luggage storage service at the Moscone Center is only offered on the last day of the event. Please double check with the Information Desk at the Moscone Center.

Multiple Reservations
Q:What do I do if I need more than one room?
A:Always start on the Make a Reservation page when booking a new reservation and use the buttons within the reservation form. If you need 10 rooms or more, please complete the Online Block Request Form.

Security
Q:Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?
A:Yes. This is a secure website and we establish a secure connection with your computer before asking you to enter your credit card information. To be sure you are on our secure connection, look for the following details when you reach the credit card step of the reservation process:
  • Instead of the traditional "http" in the url, it should now say "https" inside your browser's address bar.
  • A small padlock icon should be visible either at the top or the bottom of your browser window.
  • The Verisign Secure Site seal should be visible to the right of the credit card field.

Shuttle Bus
Q:Will there be shuttle bus service to and from my hotel and the Moscone Center?
A:Shuttle bus service is not offered for this program.

Cancellations
Q:How do I cancel or change my hotel reservation?
A:72 hours prior to arrival notice is required to avoid penalty. Cancellations after this date will incur a penalty of one nightÂ’s room and tax for your reserved hotel. Cancellations or Reservation Changes prior to Friday, May 16, 2014 may be made 4 ways: Cancellations and changes after Friday, May 16, 2014 must be made directly with your hotel.
Q:What are Early Departure Fees?
A:Hotels may charge penalties for departures earlier than your confirmed check-out date. Confirm fees prior to arrival with your selected hotel.
